Hi, my name is Bob and I had Lap-Band surgery on July 11, 2006. In 9 months I’ve lost over 60 pounds. I have stopped taking 2 of the 5 medications I was taking before surgery, and had the dosage on another medication cut in half. I still
want to lose another 30 pounds and feel confident that I can do it because I have finally learned how to eat properly and adapt to a lifestyle that doesn’t include “dieting.”
I chose Dr. Wilkenfeld for my surgery after attending one of his seminars and asking my primary care physician about him. My primary care physician knew nothing about his Lap-Band experience but said Dr. Wilkenfeld had an excellent reputation as a general surgeon. I was operated on at 9:00 am and walked unaided to my car at 1:30 pm. I never had to fill the prescription for the pain medication, and except for my stitches, I was 100% the next day. Today I’d have to point out the tiny scars on my abdomen for anyone to even notice them.
After the procedure, I saw Dr. Wilkenfeld on a monthly basis for the first year and while he doesn’t try to become your best friend he never rushes you. He takes his time to answer all of your questions and seems truly concerned about your success.
Dr. Wilkenfeld does my adjustments in his office, and it takes just a few minutes with just a pin prick of pain for a few seconds. There is no lingering pain whatsoever and the results are wonderful.
I would recommend Dr. Wilkenfeld to anyone.
